Eligibility Criteria

As per the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India, the following eligibility criteria must be met:

  • 10+2 passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) OR
  • 10+3 Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Aeronautical Engineering from a recognized State Board of Technical EducationCandidates appearing for the final exams may apply for provisional admission, which will be confirmed only after qualifying results are declared (by July 30th of the admission year)

Admission for Foreign Nationals & NRI Sponsored Candidates

Foreign nationals are welcome to apply for the AME course at ARDC, following guidelines set by the Government of India, State Government, and DGCA. Key points include:

  • A security clearance must be obtained from the respective Embassy and submitted to DGCA for further action
  • Prospectus and application forms can be availed by paying US $10
  • NRI Sponsored candidates must submit a sponsor certificate as required under the rules

Documents Required for AME Admission

Please ensure the following documents are attached with your application:

  • Medical Certificate duly filled and signed by a Registered Medical Practitioner (Minimum qualification: MBBS)
  • Three attested copies of the qualifying examination mark sheet (10+2 or equivalent)
  • Conduct/Character Certificate from the last attended institution
  • Five recent passport-size photographs
  • Registration Fee/Admission Fee as applicable
  • Four self-addressed envelopes (Size: 9”x 4”) with postage stamps worth ₹45/- each
